Let’s All Welcome Our Baby Girl
At 11:15pm on March 15th Doug (with active coaching from Linda) helped Cat deliver her new baby girl. It was Doug’s first and he was alone so needless to say he was just a little nervous. He put that all aside and did a great job helping Cat along until Linda arrived.
We’d like to thank our delivery team for the great job that they both did.
Cat delivered a very healthy Filly and we’re pleased to report that mother and daughter are both doing very well. Dr. Connor of Harbor Ridge Equine examined the foal and gave the Filly (name to be determined as of today) a clean bill of health. Be sure that you enter our naming contest. You can contact Linda, Ashley, Michele, or any of our Board Members for more information.
With the baby being only hours old we took mom and daughter out to one of the paddocks to get a little fresh air and exercise. The pictures below will let you see how well they both are doing. Baby Cat was up and steady on her legs and even managed to run. What a joy to watch all of this play out.
Please stop by the barn and meet our newest addition.
