Becoming a Volunteer

* Junior Volunteers between ages 10 – 15 must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian.

First step:      Submit the New Volunteer Interest form located at the bottom of this page.  Once you submit this form our Volunteer Organizer will contact you to explain how you can best help ERAF and make arrangements for you to attend a New Volunteer Orientation.

Second step: Orientation. The first  Saturday of the month ERAF  conducts a Volunteer Orientation at our barn.  Orientation begins at 10a.m. sharp!  Please check our event calendar for updates regarding orientation dates.

Orientation is mandatory for all ERAF Volunteers.

After your orientation, you will start your hands-on experience with expert guidance.  You’ll work along with an experienced volunteer or staff member who will help you learn safe and proper techniques of the barn chores and being around the horses. Your education continues as you practice these skills and become part of the ERAF family.

What You’ll Be Learning
As a volunteer you will be caring for our rescues by:

  • Learning all about our horses and their history.
  • Maintaining healthy protocols and safe conditions at all times for you and the horses.
  • Learning to look for and report any unusual behavior or any
cuts or illness concerning the horses to a staff member.
  • Continuing to learn about the horses and improving your skills.
  • Help with fundraising events & community awareness about
    ERAF’s mission.

Closed in shoes are a must. Feel free to call: 772-220-0150 for more information.

Are you interested in becoming part of the ERAF team?  Complete the form below and we’ll get back with you as soon as possible.
